Welcome to GrowthX Garage!

GrowthX Garage is a platform designed to help businesses launch and grow. We provide a unique opportunity for businesses less than 5 years old to gain exposure, raise funds, and connect with potential mentors. Here's how it works:

  • 90-Second Pitch: Startups create a 90-second video pitch and upload it to our YouTube channel.

  • Weekly Competition: Each week, 7 new businesses compete to raise the most funds.

  • Quarterly Draw: The weekly winners are entered into a quarterly draw to win a mentorship session with a venture capitalist or business coach.

To ensure fairness and transparency, we have established the following rules and guidelines:

Rules for Participation

  1. Video Submission:

    • All projects must be submitted via a 90-second video uploaded to the GrowthX Garage YouTube channel.

  2. Prohibited Items:

    • We prohibit projects that are illegal, heavily regulated, or potentially dangerous for backers, as well as rewards that the creator did not make.

    • Any item claiming to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent an illness or condition (whether via a device, app, book, nutritional supplement, or other means).

    • Contests, coupons, gambling, and raffles.

    • Energy food and drinks without FDA approval.

    • Offensive material (e.g., hate speech, encouraging violence against others, etc).

    • Offering a genetically modified organism as a reward.

    • Live animals. Projects cannot include live animals as a reward.

    • Offering alcohol as a reward.

    • Offering financial, money-processing, or credit services; financial intermediaries or cash-equivalent instruments; travel services (e.g., vacation packages); phone services (e.g., prepaid phone services, 900 numbers); and business marketing services.

    • Political fundraising.

    • Pornographic material.

    • Projects that promote discrimination, bigotry, or intolerance towards marginalized groups

    • Projects that share things that already exist, or repackage a previously-created product, without adding anything new or aiming to iterate on the idea in any way.

    • Resale. All rewards must have been produced or designed by the project or one of its creators — no reselling things from elsewhere.

    • Drugs, nicotine, tobacco, vaporizers and related paraphernalia.

    • Weapons, replicas of weapons, and weapon accessories.

  3. If your project involves something illegal, heavily regulated, or potentially dangerous for backers and it is not on this list, please contact us before starting your project.

  4. Clear Goals and Progress Updates (PreLaunch Businesses):

    • Every project needs a defined goal and a plan to achieve it. This includes a clear outline of how the startup will use the funds raised and how they will communicate their progress to the community.

  5. Accuracy and Transparency:

    • Startups must accurately represent their business, its current stage of development, and its financial needs. Misrepresenting facts, manipulating data, or using misleading imagery is strictly prohibited.

  6. Honest Presentation:

    • Startups must present themselves honestly and accurately. This includes avoiding the use of CGI or special effects that exaggerate the capabilities of their product or service. If a startup relies on software or hardware integrations, they must clearly demonstrate these dependencies or disclose that they have not yet been developed.

  7. Focus on Business Funding:

    • While GrowthX Garage supports businesses with a social impact, projects cannot be solely focused on raising funds for charity. The funds raised on GrowthX Garage must be used to directly support the growth and development of the startup itself.

  8. No Equity or Investment Opportunities:

    • GrowthX Garage is not an investment platform. Startups cannot offer incentives such as equity, revenue sharing, or investment opportunities in exchange for funding.

  • GrowthX Garage reserves the right to remove any project that violates these rules.

  • By participating in GrowthX Garage, startups agree to abide by these rules.
